Are you clients ready?
Do you have your artist's webpage? Are you using tools to fasten your workflow? Are you staying informed on your industry?
Feel free to ask around for information. There are plenty of professional around.
As some of you may know already, CGHUG has been closed few days ago and some people felt like they lost their artwork. It's always good to have backups; especially, it's better to have 3 backups: 2 hard drives and 1 flash drive/cloud service.
There are plenty of website like ArtStation for starters but one way to be taken seriously in your industry is to invest a bit of money in your own website by choosing and buying a domain name to be able to customize it and show your full creativity even more if you're thinking about going freelance.
As a web developer also, I just suggest that unless you're the creator of your own images/photos/illustrations, make sure you have a written authorization to use images on the web or simply contact a photographer. DON'T FORGET TO ADD YOUR METADATA TO YOUR IMAGE! You can create a metadata profile within Adobe Bridge and add it at once to a lot of files.
