Here's an update on some guidelines for the activities:
Now guys, the point of the exercises is for you to actually use your noggins and create something for the group. That said, I'm going to ask that all exercise submissions are created for the activity, and not just pulled from the back of your gallery.

I appreciate that you all have art that can at times apply to the theme, but please, actually be active and create for the group. I will no longer accept submissions that weren't created for the current theme.

Also, at the end of this month, I'll be changing the exercise theme. This next one will attract a lot of attention from a good number of you, so keep your creative beans flexed!

Exercise #4: Heat
Alright, here's the next exercise folks! This time, I'd like for you all to make something interpreting the word, "heat". It can be in whatever medium you wish. Writing, of course, is always welcome.

Like the last exercise, your work will be featured here in the journal for everyone to see. So make sure that what you produce is something you'd want a whooole lot of people to see featured, because the traffic here is pretty lovely.



Black Artists' Vibe #6: Collaboration
The second activity this time around involves your cooperation with another person or persons in the group. So don't be shy! Talk it up with some folks. Take a look at the Membership List, find someone who's active, and send them a message asking for a collab. If you don't know what you want to do, it's cool. You could actually make this part of the activity tie in with the "heat" exercise and just put together something for that theme with someone.

Summer Heat, What to Do? by ~icekyo _{-Ah yes, we all think of swimsuits and beach fun when we think of the summer heat. Great job illustrating (and with a cat girl, no less) this idea for us ~icekyo!}

Summer Heat, What to Do? by ~Lillmissthang _{-This is a really fun piece! I love the pixelated look, along with the color and dynamics. Also folks, take note of the heroes. That's a hint at your next group activity!}

Red Light by *samadhimercer _{-You just can't deny a strong portrait with a bit of color added to the light. Yes indeedy!}

Combustion by ~Shinart _{-This is quite a fun submission! The manip of line and color added to the lovely lady are great fun and just all around hotness.}

Older Eve at the Beach by ~black-shaddow-walker _{-Very interesting pose with an..interesting background. That's some heat going on in her hair though! Better watch that closely.}
